Camera Systems & Door Access for Kansas City Businesses

Most IT companies stop at the network edge. CyteWorks installs and manages your cameras, door access, and motion detection on the same UniFi ecosystem as your switches and wireless — one platform, one vendor, one call when something is wrong.

Physical security that lives on your network.

Physical security and IT security are the same problem. Both require controlled access, monitored activity, and a clear audit trail. CyteWorks uses Ubiquiti UniFi Protect for cameras and UniFi Access for door control — the same management interface as your firewall and switches. That means one login, one dashboard, and one team that understands the whole system.

We install, configure, and support the physical infrastructure ourselves. We are not a subcontractor. If a camera goes offline at midnight, we see it before you do.

Camera Systems

UniFi Protect cameras installed and configured for indoor and outdoor coverage. Remote viewing from phone or desktop. Motion zones, person detection, and configurable alerts with minimal false positives.

Door Access Control

Keycard and mobile access control through UniFi Access. Per-door scheduling, instant lockout, and a complete access log — managed from the same dashboard as your cameras.

Motion & Sensor Alerts

Smart motion detection with configurable zones. Alerts route to the right people without spam. Glass break and environmental sensors integrated into the same platform.

Remote Monitoring

CyteWorks monitors camera and access system health. Offline camera, failed door reader, storage full — we know about it and address it before you call.

No Cloud Subscription

UniFi Protect records to a local recorder on your premises, and Ubiquiti charges no per-camera license and no recording subscription. Remote viewing connects directly to your recorder when the network allows and falls back to Ubiquiti’s encrypted relay when it cannot — either way, the recordings stay on your hardware.

Same Network, Same Team

Physical security runs on your existing UniFi infrastructure. No separate wiring runs, no proprietary vendor lock-in, no second call to a different company when something breaks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your camera systems require a monthly subscription?
No. UniFi Protect records to a network video recorder on your premises, and Ubiquiti charges no per-camera licensing fee and no recording subscription, whether you run 4 cameras or 4,000. Remote viewing connects your device directly to that recorder whenever the network allows, and falls back to Ubiquiti’s own encrypted relay only when a direct connection is not possible. The recordings themselves stay on your hardware.
Can you integrate with an existing alarm system?
Sometimes. The UniFi alarm hub accepts 32 hardwired zone inputs and is built to retrofit existing wired contacts and sensors, and its relay outputs can drive existing sirens. We have not deployed a central-station-reporting system, so if yours is monitored by an alarm company we will tell you where the line is rather than guess at it. A site assessment gets you a straight answer before any work begins.
What is the difference between UniFi Protect and traditional CCTV?
Traditional CCTV uses standalone DVR systems with proprietary software that cannot talk to anything else. UniFi Protect is managed through the same interface as your network switches and wireless — one login, one dashboard, consistent management regardless of which system you are looking at.
Do you install the cameras and cabling yourselves?
Yes. CyteWorks handles the physical installation — mounting, cabling, conduit, and configuration. We do not subcontract the physical work. If something is wrong with the install, we fix it.
